Teaching Artist
I have worked as a neurodivergent teaching artist for 18 years since graduating with MFA at Edinburgh College of Art. I work across Scotland devising and delivering imaginative and original Career-long Professional Learning (CLPL). I also devise resources for galleries and councils, drawing on my experience as a freelance arts educator and a secondary school Art and Design teacher. With a shift to online in in2020 I have focused on creating and engaging approaches to the online experience. I continue to develop my own art practice from my WASPS studios in Leith, Edinburgh while pursuing personal projects such as ‘Teach Art’, a residency program for art teachers. BRIDGE ‘Bridging the Pedagogical Gap’ project about radical rethinking teaching artist/freelancer engagement with pedagogy.
